It wasn't washed out but it certainly didn't look any better. Maybe it's just because I'm relieved that it's not four feet on the diagonal but I find the whole monitor pretty easy to take in from normal distance only moving my eyes which was my goal. I think you could use 100% all the time if you took the time to tweak the zoom level in your software but it's probably easier just to set the whole thing to 125. When I want a little more comfort, I can set the scaling to 125% which makes the smallest text easy to read. I can set it to 100% scaling when I need lots of information on the screen at one time. One thing I can comment on is that I feel like 32" is a nice size for productivity on a 4K display. All good things that none of you care about. My display doesn't have a mirror finish reflecting my keyboard and PC lighting in my eyes all the time. I don't have to look all over a giant display like I'm in the front row at the movie theater. I can have any old static wallpaper I want and I have a taskbar at the bottom of my screen again without fear of ruining it. ![]() There's some IPS glow but it's at least as good as the LG 27GL850 I used before getting a 48" Oled.īeing back on a real monitor is pretty awesome. I'm using the "FPS" picture mode and Picture Quality overdrive setting. ![]() I do think the colors are pretty reasonable out of the box. Disclosure: I immediately installed it on a monitor arm so the stand was of no importance to me. It swivels and slides up and down but will not allow the monitor to rotate at all so no vertical monitor on this stand. It's plastic on the outside but the foot is mostly steel with a plastic decorative cover. Getting this monitor before reviews are out is kind of problematic for me since I usually rely on them to find the optimal settings to get us lazy people in the ballpark. I am no monitor expert and I don't own a calibration tool.
